Police are crediting video surveillance with solving a shoplifting crime.
On March 22, at 7:30 p.m., Nipissing West OPP officers responded to a shoplifting incident at a business on King Street in West Nipissing.
Video surveillance footage was reviewed and a suspect was identified.
Shortly thereafter, officers located and arrested theie suspect on King Street. The stolen property was recovered and seized.
As a result of the investigation, Raven Pretty, 24, from West Nipissing, is charged with theft under $5,000-shoplifting.
Pretty was released by way of an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 2 in West Nipissing.
