VIDEO: Car destroyed in early morning Main Street fire

NBPS says the incident is part of an active investigation and no further details will be released at this time

Details are few but BayToday readers submitted some photos and video of a car fire in the 400 block of Main Street East from just before 1 a.m. on Monday.

There do not appear to be any injuries related to this incident.

Bruce Taylor captured video of the fire and tells BayToday he "thought someone was shooting a shotgun and when I went out to see, fire trucks had just arrived. "There was an electrical burst inside the car, sparks everywhere."

Taylor's video below shows two North Bay firefighters attempting to extinguish the car fire. Other submitted photos taken later on show the ground saturated in foam used to suppress such fires.

The North Bay Police Service is investigating this incident. "As it is an active investigation, we cannot release details at this time," says NBPS spokesperson David Woolley.
