They're taking Aktion for Laurier Woods

The Kiwanis Aktion Club have now kicked off their campaign to help with some Laurier Woods fundraising. Community Living and Aktion Club co-ordinator Barbara Dawn Gibbings developed the idea with Seymour Graphics and club members are selling “tree stickers” for $10 each with the goal of
raising $1,000 to sponsor a full acre at Laurier Woods.

The Laurier Woods Is Growing campaign started up this winter to add 100 acres to North Bay most popular conservation area and so far is about one third of the way to their $100,000 goal to complete the purchase and develop some new trails on the property. Stickers can be purchased from any Aktion Club member of you can drop by the Country Café at FJ Dellandrea Place and buy them there. As shown on the map (in photo gallery), the new area to be added to Laurier Woods is bordered in green to the south east of the present conservation area.

Details of the campaigns can be found at the website – www.laurierwoods.com and also www.kiwanisnipissing.com.
