Should North Bay Minor Hockey adopt the Battalion colours but not the nickname?

The North Bay Minor Hockey Association which oversees hockey from house league to AA hockey, is reaching out to its membership about changing the Trappers colour scheme.

"This policy pertains to changing the North Bay Trappers colours to reflect those of the Battalion," a NBMHA release stated on social media earlier this week.

"NBMHA would like to invite its members to an open Special General Meeting as per section 6.3 of the Constitution. The purpose of meeting will be to discuss with Members and vote on amending section 9.3 of the Rules of Operations.  Section 9.3 RoO – Amendments," the release continued.

The meeting will be held in the West Ferris Arena Auditorium from 6 to 7 p.m. on April 9.

Currently, the official colours for NBMHA Rep Teams are dark or navy blue, light or baby blue, royal blue and white, but those official colours for NBMHA Rep Teams would be changed to black, green, yellow and red instead.

North Bay is one of the only teams in the Ontario Hockey League that do not share the OHL nickname and its colours with their respective minor hockey associations.
