City staff are being made available to deliver groceries and other essential items to seniors, people with disabilities and others who may be without someone to help.

The service is available Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Groceries must be prepaid. Those accessing the services will be asked to provide their name, address, phone number and grocery store location.

Drivers will be practicing social distancing. Groceries will be delivered to the recipient’s door and they will be called immediately to be notified of the delivery.

Those in need of this service can contact Crystal at 705-474-0626, ext. 2329, or [email protected].

Another great site for help locally is CareMongers - North Bay and Area.

Rod's Heating wrote, "We want to help during this time. If you have been laid off because of covid-19 and you have no heat or hot water, Rod's Heating will waive the labour cost to fix it and will only charge for parts."

For folks on Premier Road there is Premier Rd Cares.

If you'd like to pay it forward during this crisis, Meals on Wheels is desperately short of volunteers.
