Construction has resumed work on Lakeshore Drive.
Access through the work site was temporarily open to through traffic over the holidays, but now that construction has resumed, Lakeshore Drive from Riverbend Road to the LaVase River Bridge will be closed with access to local traffic only.
Residents on Lakeshore Drive within the construction limits will have access to their property, however all other traffic must use the detour.
Traffic control will be set up to detour traffic around the site using Booth Road to Ferris Drive to Birch’s Road to Lamorie Street to Pinewood Park Drive or Riverbend Road to Decaire Road to Pinewood Park Drive.
The work involves construction of a new sanitary sewer and services to property line.
Construction on Pinewood Park Drive from Lakeshore Drive to Decaire Road has also resumed, however as the majority of work is off the roadway, minimal disruption to traffic is anticipated.
At times traffic will be reduced to one lane, however only for short durations.

Both projects are anticipated to be completed by late spring/early summer of this year.
The contractors will try to limit the extent of noise and other construction inconveniences during these projects.
The contractors will assist in garbage collection and temporary access to driveways.
Drive with care in the construction area.
There will be a City Inspector available on site for the duration of the contract to liaise with the public.
