Giroux resigns as Labour Council prez

'I know that the work of the Labour Council in our community will continue to thrive under a new leadership'

Well-known labour leader and president of the North Bay and District Labour Council, Henri Giroux, has resigned.

He's being replaced by Acting Vice President Rob Boulet.

Giroux told BayToday its time for retirement.

"I want to say thank you, to you the media, for working together with the North Bay and District Council in reporting issues that are important to the labour movement in our surrounding area," said Henri Giroux 

"I know that the work of the Labour Council in our community will continue to thrive under a new leadership."
