The Rotaract Club of North Bay - Nipissing is coordinating the "Fill the Crib" event on September 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Northgate Shopping Centre’s Centre Court.

Organizers say the event is dedicated to supporting babies in our community through the Trinity Infant Food Shelf and the local Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Fill the Crib aims to gather community members, businesses, and organizations in a collective effort to provide essential resources for babies and families facing challenging circumstances. The event invites everyone to visit the Northgate Shopping Centre on September 23 to generously contribute an item to help fill the crib with much-needed donations.

"We believe in the power of our community to come together and make a positive impact," says Alex McDermid, event co-chair.

"The 'Fill the Crib' event is an opportunity for us all to contribute to the well-being of babies and families who could use a helping hand. Whether it's diapers, clothing, or monetary donations, every contribution counts and makes a difference."

Tammy Morison, president and CEO of the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation says they are grateful for the community support in helping ensure families have the best start possible.

“Initiatives like 'Fill the Crib' help provide needed resources and raise awareness about the challenges some families experience. We thank the Rotaract Club of North Bay – Nipissing for their dedication and support for our community,” Morison says.
