Fedeli to host pre-budget meetings in the area

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli will be hosting pre-budget meetings in North Bay and Mattawa on Thursday, Feb. 16 to provide individuals and groups an opportunity to provide input on the upcoming provincial budget.

The Mattawa session will run from 9 to 11 a.m. that day at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 254 at 360 Hurdman Dr. The North Bay session will run from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at The Best Western, 700 Lakeshore Dr.

“So far, Dalton McGuinty has refused to strike any Legislative committees, including the one that would normally travel the province to gather this vital input in advance of the budget,” said Fedeli.

“I’m holding these meetings to ensure all voices from Nipissing are heard and considered by the Finance Minister before he delivers his budget this spring.”

Anyone wishing to make an oral submission in person at the sessions must reserve a spot in advance as time is limited and will be allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Written submissions can be dropped off at Fedeli’s constituency office at 165 Main St. E. in North Bay during regular business hours, or e-mailed anytime to [email protected].

“Given the serious financial choices facing Ontario at this point in time, it’s imperative everyone in Nipissing have a chance to speak out.”
