East Ferris resident charged for hosting party over 10 people

BayToday has learned that a party in East Ferris over the weekend resulted in a charge for having a gathering greater than 10 people during COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

"A resident in East Ferris Twp was charged under Reopening Ontario Flexible Response to COVID-19 Act, for Fail to Comply with continued section 7.0.2 order, and was issued a Part I Offence notice.  This was as a result of a gathering of more than 10 people," OPP confirmed with BayToday after an inquiry following a reader tip.
