City police officer charged with assault

As a result of an internal investigation conducted by our Police Service, which commenced in early December 2010, Constable Steve Trahan has been charged with Assault. The allegations investigated relate to an on duty arrest of a male suspect.

Constable Trahan is scheduled to appear in First Appearance Court in North Bay on the 1st March 2011 at 9:30 AM.

As this matter is currently before the courts, The North Bay Police Service is not pre pared to release any additional information at this time.
