Deerhurst Resort will be reopening the doors of The Antler Steakhouse on Friday December 1 for regular dinner service Friday-Sunday throughout the winter season.

“We can’t wait to welcome diners back to The Antler with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and an amuse-bouche to enjoy” invites Director of Food and Beverage and former Executive Chef Rory Golden.

With the aim of keeping their rustic log house restaurant open all year long for local diners and guests alike, they will be unveiling a curated menu of Antler offerings.

"From the classic Tomahawk Steak to warm fondue, fresh greens and delightful desserts, The Antler is no longer just for those looking to enjoy a steak.  With its cottage-esque ambiance and upscale menu, it’s the perfect spot to make cozy dinner plans this winter," says a news release.

Reservations can be made online and as always are highly encouraged.

Founded in 1896, Deerhurst Resort is one of Ontario’s oldest continually operating resorts.

Recently, the resort entered a new chapter under new owners, Freed Hotels & Resorts.

In 2019, Deerhurst opened the $60 million Lakeside Lodge, a modern waterfront experience featuring 150 cottage-inspired accommodations.

Over its storied history, which includes being the host venue of the 2010 G8 Summit and producing Canada’s longest-running musical variety stage show, where Shania Twain performed during her early career, the resort has evolved into a Muskoka landmark hotel with 400 accommodation units, 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting venues, championship golf course, Amba Spa, Eclipse Art Gallery, extensive waterfront and full roster of activities year-round.
