Dear Mom; It has been one year since your life’s journey ended.
You came to Canada a beautiful 19 year old war bride. Although you lived your life in Canada, you were always an English girl. You raised your family mostly on your own, and always made us feel special and told everybody how proud we made you. You taught us to appreciate what we had and to share with those less fortunate. We know how much you did for us, the many sacrifices you made . There could never be a more precious mom than you. You loved to dance , started every day with music, had the sharpest wit and sense of humor, served endless cups of hot tea in times of worry and every day you read the paper curled up in that big chair. We won’t taste such delicious baking again or hold you in our arms, or turn to you for advice and comfort. But, Mom, your memory will always live in our hearts You knew how much we loved you because we told you so, and that is a comfort. Thank you for being such a wonderful Mother.. .
