Grant Tax files for Ball Hockey Championship

CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

For the second night in a row overtime was needed between regular season champs Grant Tax and the upstart Fern Piche & Sons team. 

And for the second night in a row Grant Tax battled back from a two goal third period deficit to force the overtime. 

This time it was Mark Hoffman with the championship goal to seal the title for Grant Tax two games straight. 

Grant Tax won the opening game 5-4 in OT Monday night.  This was a great series and some high intensity ball hockey was played.  Other scorers for Grant Tax were Eric Westerlund and Ryan Twomey. 

Drew Wallace and Alec Shaw replied for Fern Piche & Sons. 

At the end of the game Grant Tax was awarded with the prestigious John Loyst Cup.

CONSOLATION FINAL

The Hitmen were awarded the Consolation final Tuesday night as Cecil’s/Burger World did not have enough players to play.  The Hitmen won the series two games to none
