Riley Bullett of West Ferris Intermediate and Secondary School entered his second powerlifting competition last weekend and walked away with resounding success.
Bullet, a 15-year-old in Grade 10, travelled to Cambridge, Ontario to participate in the Ontario Powerlifting Association's Provincial High School Championship.
Bullett was entered in the 59 kg weight class and competed in the Deadlift, the Bench Press and the Squat.
His tremendous work ethic and dedication to lifting paid off as he out-performed his competition not only to win all three categories but also set records in both the Squat and Bench Press events.
His excellent results also gave Bullett the record for the most overall weight lifted in his weight class.
Riley hopes to continue his lifting and attend more competitions in the future.
