North Bay Battalion forward Ryan Kujawinski has signed an entry level contract today with the New Jersey Devils.

The 20-year-old, 2013 third-round draft pick of the Devils netted 21 goals along with 15 assists in 34 games with the Battalion following a trade with Kingston in early January.  He notched 13 goals and 10 assists in 27 games with Kingston earlier in the year.

In the playoffs, the Iroquois Falls product had 6 goals along with 3 assists for 9 points in 15 playoff games with the Troops.

Kujawinski was acquired on January 5th from the Frontenacs in exchange for Jared Steege, the rights to defenceman Nathan Billitier and a conditional 2nd round pick in 2016.

Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler reacted to the great news through social media.

"Congratulations to Special K for signing his entry level contract with the Devils," he stated via Twitter.

"A true professional on and off the ice."

Other Battalion players that signed contracts this season include Nick Paul around Christmas time with the Ottawa Senators and Nick Moutrey in the spring with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
