It was a good opening weekend for the Bantam and Junior Varsity Bulldogs.
In Cambridge, the newly formed Bantam Bulldogs Varsity team won its inaugural game 12-0 versus a strong and game-ready Cambridge Lions team.
Phillip Fortin scored on a 80-year touchdown run while Trey Anthony scored a 45-yard touchdown gallop.
Bulldogs bury Hawkeyes
In Oshawa The Junior Varsity Bulldogs defeated the Oshawa Hawkeyes 41-0 with touchdowns courtesy of Griffin Goulais, Ryan McColeman, Evan Desorier, JayTurnsek, Jon Warren and Brad Lavergne.
Kicker Jon Warren also kicked 5 converts in the victory.
The Bulldogs' next games will be at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex including Sunday, May 31st.
On that day, the Bantams will play at 1:00 p.m. and the Juniors take the field at 4:00 p.m.
A team barbeque will be held Sunday afternoon.
If anyone is interested in playing there is still room on both rosters. Those interested (between grade 7 and 10) can attend practice at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Rolly Fischer Field.
