Lyle to join Team NOHA at OHL Gold Cup

North Bay Battalion first round pick Brady Lyle will be joining Team NOHA at the Gold Cup which takes place on May 6th to 10th at the Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener. The North Bay native played the last two years at Shattuck St.

North Bay Battalion first round pick Brady Lyle will be joining Team NOHA at the Gold Cup which takes place on May 6th to 10th at the Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener.   

The North Bay native played the last two years at Shattuck St. Mary’s, a private school in Faribault, Minnesota. 

A right-shot defenceman, Lyle scored 17 goals and earned 31 assists for 48 points with 50 penalty minutes in 55 games for the school's under-16 team.

The six-foot and 176 pound defender, turns 16 on June 6.

Lyle, will be joined by fellow North Bayite Eric Allair, who was taken in the 13th round of the OHL Priority Selection by the Battalion.  

North Bay's Mike Burman is also part of the Team NOHA coaching staff.  

The 2015 OHL Gold Cup will feature the top 1999-born players in Ontario competing in an 8-team tournament with representation from each of the following organizations: Alliance Hockey, Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) (2 teams), Hockey Northwestern Ontario (HNO), NOHA, Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) and Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) (2 teams).

Team NOHA is comprised of twenty-five players and staff that reside within the NOHA’s boundaries.
