NDA Soccer begins on the pitch

NDA Soccer hit the pitch this week for both boys and girls action. In Senior Boys action Thursday, the Chippewa Raiders senior boys soccer team blanked Northern Secondary school 5-0.

In Senior Boys action Thursday, the Chippewa Raiders senior boys soccer team blanked Northern Secondary school 5-0.  

Nylan Maisonneuve scored a natural hat trick, while Bryce McIntyre and Nathan Ashford chipped in for singles.

William Haun earned the shutout for Chippewa.

Chippewa will play their next game against West Ferris on Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Omischl field.

Trojans blank Braves

The West Ferris Senior Boys Soccer team opened their season against the Northern Braves on Wednesday. 

The Trojan's defender Brennan Bartraw had a strike from 35 meters out to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead.  The second goal came off the foot of Hiroto Mizuno from a free kick.  The Trojans maintained the lead for a final of 2-0.  Arthur Marsili recorded the shutout for the Trojans.

Girls action

In Girls action the Widdifield Wildcats blanked the West Ferris Trojans 3-0.  Lakin Bellaire, Allyn Massana, and Hailey Ferguson scored for the Wildcats in the win. 

On Wednesday night, the Lady Trojans blanked the Northern Secondary Braves 7-0. 

Taylor Bishap, Morgan Bossert and Stephanie Aquiar each scored 2 goals in the win.  Tamara Wilkinson added a single tally in the lop-sided win.  

The shutout was shared with Trojans' keepers Stephanie Winterburn and Chloe Houlder.
