This past weekend 9 members of the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall track and field team made their way to Ottawa to take part in the Louis Riel Dome track and field meet. Though small in number, the results were quite impressive.
In the Senior Girls division, Jilleen Kilroy and Claudia Schlosser placed 1st and 2nd respectively in the 400m race.
Meaghan Kelly finished 3rd in the 1500m race.
In Junior girls, Ella King had a strong start to her season placing 2nd in the 400m race. These girls then teamed up to finish 2nd in the sprint medley relay race.
In the boys division, Jacob Boudreau and Gianni Chaput both ran to personal bests in the senior boys 400m race followed closely by Josh Leblond. All three athletes cracked the top 10.
The Senior boys 4 X 100m relay team of Jacob Boudreau, James Ruel, Eric Venditti and Gianni Chaput placed 3rd.
All in all this was a great tune-up for our team and we look forward to the start of the official 2015 high school track and field season.
