The Lakeshore Driving Range is set to open today and is promising thousands of new balls to whack and free use of clubs.

Also close to opening are area golf courses like Osprey and Highview. Jeff Rogerson says Osprey will be open in a week to 10 days, depending on the weather.
Dean Harrington of Highview in Powassan says the course should be open in the "next couple of weeks" but so far the course is ahead of schedule.
