Auntie Jane's 2/Assante Wealth Management Peewee A Ice Boltz win Gold in the NDHL tier 1 peewee rep playoffs this weekend making history.
They are the first girls team to win it all in a boys rep division at the same age level.
The Ice Boltz went 2 wins and 2 ties in the round robin play heading into the gold medal match against #1 team in the league, the Temiskaming Shores Puckhounds who only lost 2 games all season.
Girls came out strong built up a 4-1 lead only to see the boys battle back to tie it at 4, sending the game into overtime. Alex Murmilo scored the game winning goal with 1:54 left on the clock on a 3 on 3 overtime period.
The Ice Boltz will now prepare for the Provincial Championships Apr 9-12th in the GTA area.
