The Moose's Cookhouse minor bantam AAA Trappers defeated the Nickel City Sons 5-3 on Saturday in Hanmer to sweep their best of 5 NOHA/NOHL semi final series.
The Trappers were lead by Ryan Mills with 2 goals and an assist. Ian Denomme also scored 2 and Hunter Foreshew potted the other Trapper goal.
Sam Garagan and Foreshew also picked up assists. Joel Rainville recorded the win in net.
The Trappers will now play the regular season champion Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds in a best of 5 championship series. Games 1 and 2 are scheduled for Sault Ste. Marie on March 14th and 15th.
The Trappers will host game 3 on March 21st at 5pm in Powassan and game 4 (if necessary) on March 22nd at 10:00 a.m.
