Local Track athletes medal at 2 meets

Two local athletes were back in OUA track and field action this past weekend. 

Windsor Lancers Sarah Swain competed at the Findlay Track Classic in Ohio while Guelph’s Alison Fung travelled to the McGill Team Challenge in Montreal.

Swain brought home Gold in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.76 seconds she also picked up silver in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.55m.

Fung, also competing in the pole vault, cleared 3.66m and grabbed silver as the second CIS qualifier in a field that included club as well as varsity athletes,

The Guelph Gryphons women’s team also finished in the silver medal position.

Both Fung and Swain will compete at OUA championships February 27th and 28th at York University.
