The North Bay Y Titans Swim Team attended the Paula Palangio Memorial Swim Meet at CFB-North Bay this past weekend (January 17-18, 2015).
This meet is the third Northeastern Ontario Developmental meet. Many Titans achieved personal best times and finished top three spots in their events.
Tess Plamondon, and Julie Jonescu achieved Dave Kensit qualifying times in 50m Free. Evan Kilroy achieved an Ontario Festival qualification time in the 100 m Breast.
Swimming to first place finishes were: Leah Dawson, Joshua Gough, Evan Kilroy, Sheldon Kilroy, Abbey Krajc, Grace Liritzis, Brody Marietti, William Mitchell, Jillian O’Donnell, Ayden Ryk, Quinn Schroeder, Drew Stephenson, Megan Tom, Ryan Tom, Katie Tripp and Jenna Wall .
Second place finishes were achieved by: Xander Barrett, Jack Hachkowski, Julie Jonescu, Sheila MacDougall, Nikita Ouellette, Emma Ringuette, Jenny Tripp and Katelyn Warner.
Third place finishes were achieved by: William Fraser, Sarah Lepkan, Emma Lodge, Alexis Mitchell, Karly Saile and Gavin Wall.
There were many personal best times achieved by Titans at the Paula Palangio Memorial meet. Those Titans are: Emily Bolan, Emma Cook, Maggie Fedeli, Zoe Gagne, Sydney Laughren, Olivia McCauley, Austin McLaren-Stewart, Tia Mitchell, Tess Plamondon, Chloe Popp, Julia Rivet, Carleigh Roy, Riley Roy, Katie Sefton, Jamey Tucker, Riley Tucker and Alexis Viczian.
The next swim meet that the Titans will attend is the Dave Kensit Memorial Championship Meet in Sault Ste Marie, January 30 to February 2nd, 2015.
