Vision Volleyball Under-16 Girls took part in the OVA Challenge Cup here in North Bay this past Saturday.

The team started off the day with a win against Acts Elites (Dufferin) in 2 sets, 25-10 and 25-7.

The Vision team then faced another North Bay team, North Bay Youth Volleyball Club losing to NBYVC in 2 sets, 22-25 and 8-25.

This placed the VVC team second in pool play.  Barrie Elites was the first crossover game and the Vision 16UG won in 2 sets, 25-20 and 25-19 advancing to the semi-final game vs Northern Chill from Sudbury.

Vision would take the Chill team in 2 sets, 25-13 and 25-17 advancing them to the final gold medal game where they faced NBYVC again.

With two home town teams playing in the finals the fan cheering section was very loud.

The Vision team stepped up their game after losing to the NBYVC earlier in the day.

Vision dominated the court taking the match in 2 sets, 25-16 and 25-19.

With this gold medal win the Vision girls will advance to Championship Division for their next tournament, January 24th.
