The North Bay Midget A Ice Boltz were recently at the 23rd Annual Barrie Sharkfest. Coming off their recent success in the local North Bay Classic Tournament, the Ice Boltz hit Barrie in full stride going unbeaten once again.
The Ice Boltz earned top seed in their division by beating West Northumberland 1-0, tying Vaughan Flames 1-1, beating Brantford Ice Cats 2-1, and tying the Barrie Colts 2-2.
This set up a rematch against the Brantford Ice Cats.
The game went back and forth for 2 periods with no scoring.
The Ice Boltz dominated the 3rd period and finally scored on the power play with 26 seconds left in the third period to secure a 1-0 win in the Championship game.
