North Bay Battalion NOHA Development weekend kicks off

The North Bay Battalion NOHA Development Camp took to the ice Friday as part of the 3-day camp taking place this weekend.  

The day started with some on ice testing done by Next Testing which included sprints, agility and puckhandling drills.  

The camp for the top OHL draft eligible minor midget players in Northern Ontario includes a handful of exhibition games.   The NOHA split into two teams, NOHA White adn NOHA Red and they will play against the Barrie Colts Minor Midget AAA team.  

The players will be guests at Friday night's OUA game between the Brock Badgers and the Nipissing Lakers.    

Local players taking part include Midget AAA Trappers Craig Johnson, Conor Eastaugh, Joe Whittet, Eric Allair, and Dawson Meecham.  

On Saturday Team NOHA Red will face the Colts at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens.   Team White will take the ice at 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens against the Colts.   

Saturday will also include a presentation by Battalion Head Coach and Director of Operations Stan Butler along with a North Bay Battalion team presentation in the mid afternoon.   

The weekend concludes with the two NOHA teams facing each other at 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning at West Ferris arena.
