The North Bay Battalion has released 18-year-old defenceman Kyle Locke.

The Aurora, Ontario product was acquired from the Guelph Storm last December 6th.

Locke appeared in a total of 46 games with the Troops, recording 3 assists and accumulating 49 penalty minutes.

“He’s gone home,” Butler said on www.battalionhockey.com

“Mark Shoemaker and Zach Shankar are both a year younger than Locke. There was nothing wrong with Kyle as a player. We just have other guys who have to move in.”

Locke’s departure leaves the roster at 23 players, comprising 14 forwards, seven defencemen and two goaltenders.
