The Peewee “A” Assante/Auntie Jane’s Too Ice Boltz came home with a silver medal in Pink the Rink tournament hosted in Etobicoke.
The Boltz won 5 straight games vs London Devilettes 3-1, host Etobicoke Dolphins 4-1, and Ancaster Avalanche 4-1.
In the quarter-finals the Boltz played against northern rivals Sudbury Lady Wolves and came out on top with a 4-1 win.
The semi-finals put the Ice Boltz into a rematch with London.
This game was fast and physical and the girls dominated in a 3-0 win sending them to the finals.
The Ice Boltz met up with the only other undefeated team in the tournament Sault Ste Marie Wildcats.
After 3 scoreless periods and 2 overtime periods the Soo won in a 5 player shootout.
