Titans Swim Well at First Meet of the Season

Over the past weekend on October 18 & 19, the North Bay Y Titan Swim Team competed in the First North Eastern Ontario Regional Developmental swim meet at the Jeno Tihanyi Olympic Gold Pool at Laurentian University, Sudbury.

Over the past weekend on October 18 & 19, the North Bay Y Titan Swim Team competed in the First North Eastern Ontario Regional Developmental swim meet at the Jeno Tihanyi Olympic Gold Pool at Laurentian University, Sudbury. This meet was a developmental meet, so no qualifying times were necessary to swim.  Developmental meets are meant to give swimmers opportunity to develop their skills.

Titans who made personal best times include: Jack Hachkowski, Sarah Lepkan, Grace Liritzis, Emma Lodge, Olivia McCauley, Alexis Mitchell, William Mitchell, Jillian O’Donnell, Madison Piper, Emma Ringette, Karly Saile, Drew Stephenson, Jennifer Tripp, Jorn Van Leemput, Gavin Wall, Katelyn Warner and Regine Wyss.

Many Titan swimmers placed in the top three spots in their races and made personal best times. Jacob Brost placed third in the 50m back stroke race. Joshua Gough placed first in the 200m back stroke race and second in the 50m fly. Evan Kilroy finished first in 4 of his six races and second in the remaining races. Sheldon Kilroy placed first in the 50m breast stroke race, second in 100m breast and third in the 200 Individual Medley race. Brody Marietti finished in the top 3 places in 4 out of six races: 2 second place finishes and 2 third place finishes. Ayden Ryk finished second in the 200m fly. Megan Tom finished in the top 3 places in 4 out of six races: 2 first place finishes, a second and third place finish. Jenna Wall finished third in the 200m Individual Medley.

Ryan Tom started the season by winning all six of his races. Last season, Ryan finished first in all his races. Congratulations to all the Titans on a great start to the swim season.
