Paul and Wood named to OHL team for Subway Series

North Bay Battalion forward Nick Paul has been named to Team OHL for the 2014 Subway Super Series along with defenceman Kyle Wood.

North Bay Battalion forward Nick Paul has been named to Team OHL for the 2014 Subway Super Series along with defenceman Kyle Wood.  

Team OHL will compete against the Russian National Junior Team in Game 3 of the series in Peterborough on Thursday, November 13th with Game 4 to be played in Kingston on Monday, November 17th. 

The series also includes two games in the WHL prior to both OHL games, and ends with the two games hosted by the QMJHL.

Paul is expected to dress for the November 13th game in Peterborough.  

The Ottawa Senators prospect sits 21st in league scoring with 8 goals along with 3 assists totaling 11 points in 8 games so far this season for the Troops.  

Wood, a 2014 3rd round pick of the Colorado Avalanche, will dress in Game 4 of the series which takes place on November 17th. 

The big Battalion defender has netted 4 goals and 0 assists in 8 games this season.

A total of 32 players have been selected to represent the OHL in the 2014 SUBWAY® Super Series including 14 players who attended Canada’s National Junior Team Summer Development Camp led by forward Connor McDavid of the Erie Otters and defenceman Chris Bigras of the Owen Sound Attack who represented Canada at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship.
