Voodoos doubled by Gold Miners

KIRKLAND LAKE, ON - The Powassan Voodoos dropped a 4-2 decision to the defending NOJHL champion Kirkland Lake Gold Miners Friday night at the Joe Mavrinac Community Centre. The Voodoos fell behind 3-0 after 2 periods before Jeremy St.

KIRKLAND LAKE, ON - The Powassan Voodoos dropped a 4-2 decision to the defending NOJHL champion Kirkland Lake Gold Miners Friday night at the Joe Mavrinac Community Centre.

The Voodoos fell behind 3-0 after 2 periods before Jeremy St. Pierre and Garry Mindus made the contest interesting with 2 goals less than 5 minutes apart in the 3rd period. 

Luc Soares led the Gold Miners with 2 goals. 

Battalion prospect Jack Ondrovic took the loss for the Voodoos, turning away 20 shots in the loss.

The Voodoos are back on home ice on October 24th, as they host the visiting Abitibi Eskimos.  Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Powassan Sportspex.
