Midget Trappers doubled by Flyers

The North Bay & District Midget AAA Trappers fell below the .500 mark on the season after dropping a 6-3 decision against the Kapuskasing Flyers on Saturday night at West Ferris arena.

The North Bay & District Midget AAA Trappers fell below the .500 mark on the season after dropping a 6-3 decision against the Kapuskasing Flyers on Saturday night at West Ferris arena. 

The visiting Flyers built up a 4-0 lead after 20 minutes of action. 

The Trappers closed the gap with 2 goals in the second period by Devyn Martel and Jack Drinkwalter. 

Martel netted his second of the contest on a third period power play for the Trappers.   

Jeff Jordan, who leads the Great North Midget League in scoring with 22 points, we held off the scoresheet.  

Raphael Lecours led the Flyers offence with 2 goals and 1 assist, while Trevor Cheff finished with 1 goal and 2 assists.  

The Trappers loss drops their record to 4-5-0-0-1 on the season.
