Bailey gets 3 in Lakers second straight win

TORONTO, ON - Brogan Bailey scored 3 times in the second period to lead the Nipissing Lakers to a 5-1 win over the University of Toronto on Saturday night.

TORONTO, ON - Brogan Bailey scored 3 times in the second period to lead the Nipissing Lakers to a 5-1 win over the University of Toronto on Saturday night. 

After falling behind 1-0 after 20 minutes the Lakers offence erupted with 5 straight goals including 4 in the second period.  

Bailey scored 3 times and Craig Campbell added the other in the middle frame.  

Rookie Mitch Deacon added more insurance with a shorthanded marker in the 3rd period. 

Kirk Rafuse got the win which was his second of the weekend as he only allowed 2 goals in 2 weekend road victories for the Lakers.   Eric Robichaud chipped in with 3 assists, while Matt Paton added 2 helpers.

The Lakers are back on the road next weekend as they face the McGill Redmen on Friday, October 17th and then head to Kingston to face RMC on Saturday night.
