The North Bay Midget 'A' Ice Boltz were recently at the 5th Annual Oakville Harvest Classic and took the silver medal.
The Ice Boltz started the tournament with a 2-1 loss to the Clearview Ice Cats but followed that up with a 2-0 win over the Burlington Barracudas. The Ice Boltz needed a tie to advance to the Quarterfinals and they attained just that with a 1-1 against the Stoney Creek Sabres.
The Quarterfinals matched the Ice Boltz against the undefeated Whitby Wolves.
The game went back and forth before the Ice Boltz broke through in the 2nd period and added a goal in the 3rd period to win 2-0. The Ice Boltz matched up against another undefeated team in the Semi finals, the Aurora Panthers.
After a late goal by the Aurora Panthers to tie the game the Ice Boltz stormed back to win in overtime. The finals proved to be too much for the Ice Boltz as they matched up against their early season nemisis the Clearview Ice Cats and lost 3-0.
