The North Bay Atom A Ice Boltz had to show off more than just their hockey savvy Sunday morning.

The girls team was under the spotlight as they read and tried to memorize their lines for Scotiabank Hockey Night in Canada.

Hockey Night in Canada Videographer Richard Agecoutay shared the lines with the nervous girls as he tried to make them feel comfortable when they read on camera.

"Just take a deep breath and look at your lines,"‎ he told the girls after a re-take, reminding them to sound and look excited.

Ice Boltz assistant coach Sean O'Hagan was impressed.

"The girls have been extremely excited as you can tell," whispered O'Hagan during a break between takes.

The filming started in the dressing room and continued onto the ice.

In total, the girls read 3 introductions on camera mixed between the dressing room and on the ice surface at Pete Palangio arena.

One of the segments included the girls promoting games for Saturday, November 1st Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts.

The girls segments, as part of the Scotiabank Hockey Tonight Kids, are expected to air on Saturday, October 25th on Hockey Night in Canada.

The up and coming Ice Boltz TV stars include: Emma Nadeau, Emilie Perron, Mave O'Hagan, Stephanie Hatch, Emma May Baldwin, Sydney Horning, Rachel Landry, Hannah Franz, Katherine Herron, Renee Lind, Hailee Steeves, Catrina Burke, Dielle Paradis, Madison Moore and Emily Hanson.
