On Saturday Sep 26th Widdifield Secondary School hosted their first annual Early Bird Volleyball Tournament.
Both the Junior and Senior Wildcats made it out of pool play and into the semi-finals.
The Sr. Wildcats eventually lost out to the Vision Volleyball U18 team. The Jr Wildcats however, beat Eliot Lake S.S. in 2 straight sets (25-18, 25-20) to advance to the finals to face the Chippewa Raiders.
The Wildcats, once again, came out strong taking the first set 25-14 and the second 25-19 to claim the title of Early Bird Volleyball Tournament Championship.
Tournament named team MVP's for the Jr's were Ryan Zamperoni, Chris Bowman and Jacob Burke (libero).
The overall Tournament Jr MVP was given to the Wildcat's setter Cam Daniels
