Moose's Cookhouse Bantam AAA Trappers compete at Showcase

The Moose's Cookhouse minor bantam AAA Trappers opened up their season over the past weekend at the NOHL annual league showcase in Sault Ste Marie. The Trappers opened up with a 3-3 tie vs the Nickel City Sons on Friday afternoon.

The Moose's Cookhouse minor bantam AAA Trappers opened up their season over the past weekend at the NOHL annual league showcase in Sault Ste Marie. The Trappers opened up with a 3-3 tie vs the Nickel City Sons on Friday afternoon. Goals were scored by Gage King, Ryan Mills and Nick Wojick. Assists were picked up by Currie Giesler, Ethan Allair, Hunter Foreshew and Ryan Mills. Jacob Steringa was the goalie of record.

On Saturday afternoon the Trappers lost a tough decision to the Soo Greyhounds 3-1. The lone goal was scored by Jacob Peterson-Galema with assists by Ian Denomme and Matt Hardwick. Joel Rainville suffered the loss despite a solid performance.

The Trappers closed out the weekend with a 9-0 victory over the Sudbury Wolves. Goals were scored by Kobe Seguin, Jacob Peterson-Galema, Sam Garagan, Payton Vescio, Ryan Mills, Cole Craft, Matt Hardwick and Hunter Foreshew with 2. Assists went to Mills (2), Spencer Jones, Hardwick, Craft, Wojick, King, Garagan and Seguin. Jacob Steringa had the shutout in net.

The Moose's Cookhouse Trappers next action will be on September 27 and 28 when they travel to Levack to play the Nickel City Sons in a three game set.
