The North Bay Battalion have made some room on their blue line Monday by trading defenceman Shawn Tessier to the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for a 2015 9th round pick in next spring's OHL Priority Selection.
Tessier was the Battalion's 12h round pick in 2012 and split last season between the North Bay Jr A Trappers of the NOJHL where he was named an NOJHL All-Star while registering 2 goals and 22 assists in 45 games with the Trappers in 2013-14.
He also got into 7 regular season games with the Battalion last year.
The Battalion are back on the ice for their final OHL pre-season tune-up on Wednesday when they travel to Peterborough to face the Petes.
