The new NOJHL regional rivalry will take to the ice on Monday night in Powassan as the Voodoos take on the Mattawa Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks, who are the former North Bay Jr. Trappers that moved to Mattawa in the off-season, are winless in their first 4 contests, while the hometown Voodoos are also looking for their first win after a 0-2-0-1 start, with their only point coming in an 5-4 double OT loss on September 5th in Cochrane.

The two teams, which play out of the Eastern Conference in the 9-team Northern Ontario Junior A Hockey League, will see each other a lot this season.

Monday is the first of 12 meetings between the two teams in 2014-15.

Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Powassan Sportsplex.
