A group of 20 North Bay and area novice aged players took part in a unique development camp organized by local hockey coach John Couch at West Ferris arena on Tuesday night.

The high tempo practice included instructors such as Battalion players Mike Baird, Brendan Miller, along with Battalion Assistant GM Matt Rabideau, Voodoos assistant coach Jamie Young along with Voodoos players Aaron Dart and Michael Silveri, Midget AAA Trappers head coach Mike Reise with players Finn Seguin, Robert Buckley, Colton Point and Jeff Jordan.

Local product Darcy Vaillancourt, who played the past two seasons of pro hockey in Germany was also on hand.

Couch was sharing new coaching concepts and drills he learned at a recent Coaches Conference at the University of Windsor.

The best part about the 1 1/2 hour session was that it was free!
