The Powassan Voodoos are staying in the region for a pair of  pre-season games on the Labour Day Weekend.

The expansion NOJHL team which is affiliated with the OHL's North Bay Battalion, hops on the bus on Saturday afternoon as they travel to New Liskeard for a neutral site pre-season contest against the Cochrane Crunch.

The Crunch, which relocated from Elliot Lake in the off-season, have an impressive 3-0 pre-season record including a 9-1 victory over the Voodoos on Wednesday afternoon in Powassan.

Puck drop in New Liskeard is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Don Shepherdson Memorial Arena on Saturday night.

The Voodoos head back home as the Blind River Beavers pay a visit to the Powassan Arena for a 5:30 puck drop on Sunday for their final preseason game.

The Sunday contest is a chance for Brandon Major, acquired by the Voodoos from Blind River in early August, to face his former squad.

Admission for the Sunday pre-season contest is $5.00 for an adult.
