Nine local triathletes are heading to Edmonton, Alberta, to compete in the ITU World Championships August 26- September 1, 2014.
Amanda Yates, Cathy Rennie, Mike Burke and Steve Hayne will challenge the Sprint distance which consists of swimming 750 meters, cycling 20 kilometers and running 5 kilometers.
Jenny Ryan, Ed McColm, Dave Plumstead, Amanda Yates, Mike Burke Ryan Culhane and Brenda Walsh will race the Olmpic distance of 1500 meter swim, 40 kilometer bike and 10 kilometer run
