For more than 1000 area children, today is the day all Timbits soccer players look forward to.  The Soccer Jamboree.

Despite being pushed back from Saturday to Sunday due to wet fields, Veteran's and Amelia Fields were packed with excited young soccer players aged 4 to 8, along with patient soccer coaches of course.

The 2 fields were compressed into a dozen micro fields for the annual event which ends the soccer season.

"It's very busy and it's a struggle to find volunteers but we get through it," said North Bay Youth Soccer President Sue Knight, who was there to help with Timbits medal presentations and even helped selling hot dogs.

"But today is all about the kids," she noted.

The soccer event also included face painting, a fish pond and of course the massive inflateables thae were set up in the outfield on Veteran's Field.

"Many parents say the jamboree is worth the price of the soccer registration," said Knight.
