The Canadore-Nipissing Summer League Basketball Championships finished up in style last Thursday.
Black Top, a team made up of Widdifield and West Ferris graduates defeated the defending champion Goodlife team 95-79 in the final.
Mike Costello led Black Top with 23 points. Joey Puddister contributed with 20 points. Tyler Philipson and Sam Lavac had 15 points each.
Dustin Anthony led teah Goodlife with 23 points.
The competitive game had the feel of an NDA finals contest.
The Summer league is comprised of North Bay and Toronto area basketball players, many of which have played, or play at the College or University level.
