Etmanski leads Fox and Fiddle to Men's Ball Hockey Title

Nathan Etmanski’s goal with 2:20 left in the third period broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Fox & Fiddle their first North Bay Men’s Ball Hockey title over defending champs Grant Tax in the third and deciding game played at the West Ferris

Nathan Etmanski’s goal with 2:20 left in the third period broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Fox & Fiddle their first North Bay Men’s Ball Hockey title over defending champs Grant Tax in the third and deciding game played at the West Ferris Arena Thursday night.

The game was a tight and well played one just like the first two of the series.  Will Phillips opened the scoring for Fox mid way through the second period only to have Josh McCully reply for Grant Tax  2 minutes later, setting up Etmanski’s game winning goal.  Stepan Devost added an empty netter  to ice the game making the final 3-1.  

Etmanski also scored the game winner in game 2 of the best-of-three series.  

After the game, the Fox and Fiddle team was presented with the John Loyst Cup.   

The Consolation Final also went to a third and deciding game Thursday night with more late game. 

Brandon McNeil’s goal with 1:30 left broke a 1-1 tie and gave Burger World a 2-1 victory over Team Shark  and the Consoaltion title. 

Francis Beaudoin also scored for Burger World while RJ Glass replied for Team Shark. 

This was Burger World’s first title as well.
