The North Bay Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League has an immediate opening for an assistant equipment manager.

Reporting to the head athletic therapist-equipment manager, the successful applicant will maintain a positive attitude and be responsible for assisting with the equipment needs and housekeeping for players while attending all Battalion games, home and away, and practices.

Among the successful applicant’s responsibilities will be assisting the equipment manager with duties which may include equipment repair and inventory and skate sharpening as well as helping with the club’s orientation camp in May and training camp in August.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the Battalion dressing room and ensuring that the room, players’ lounge, weight room and surrounding areas are kept to the highest possible level of cleanliness and neatness. The successful applicant also will be responsible for the cleaning and management of the players’ laundry.

The successful applicant will assist with the packing of equipment for road games and the loading and unloading of the club’s bus and will follow OHL procedures to ensure that dressing rooms and benches are prepared on game days for the Battalion, the visiting team and on-ice officials.
