While many hockey fans and media across our Nation were glued to TV sets watching the Pens-Jackets, Stars-Ducks and Blues-Hawks, the hockey world was still keeping a watchful eye on North Bay as the relocated franchise garnered some pretty impressive attention amid it's NHL compeition last night.
The Troops victory even got a re-tweet from TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, who may be partial to the Troops as he is in fact the brother-in-law of Battalion assistant coach John Goodwin.
It was also a heartbreaker for North Bay's Kenny Appleby, the Generals backup netminder thrown in the biggest game of his life in an elimination game in his hometown.
