Founded by multi sport national champion and Olympian, Terry Evans and his wife Jean in 1960, the club provides a great workout option. Canoe Kayak is a great whole body workout and members succeed on and off the water. It’s great training for hockey, football, golf, volleyball and many more athletic endeavors.

In it’s history, the club has had many High Performance and Professional athletes, including NHL and CFL stars. Other members have gone on to win Olympics, World and Pan American championship medals. So far, the club has produced 6 Olympians and won nearly 100 National Championships.

Additional alumnae include University Professors, world-class surgeons, lawyers, politicians and successful business owners.

The North Bay Canoe Club offers several canoe kayak programs, such as competitive sprint racing, Corporate Dragon Boat, Adult recreation, Paddle Camp and Paddle All. Parents can also sign up their kids for a week of active, on water fun or a whole summer. Early drop off and late pickup times are also offered to accommodate busy work schedules.

The North Bay Canoe Club invites you to join a winning tradition. Paddling is a family sport and is a part of our Canadian history. There will be an open house on April 27th, May 11th and June 8th from 10am to 3pm for information and registration. The club is located on Olmsted Beach in the heart of North Bay on beautiful Trout Lake. They encourage others to take advantage of the early bird promotions.
